Hello David and All,

The Lansing to Dearborn Run was successfully concluded this past Friday. We had an interesting mix of cars including: Buick, Ford, Maxwell, Northern, and a Curved Dash Oldsmobile.

John Grace, Sally Van Atta, and I spent all day Wednesday coordinating parking for the RV’s and rigs as they arrived at The Henry Ford. Mr. John Biggs and Mr. Michael Spencer (sp?) made the trip from England and arrived with the Pate’s on Wednesday.

On Thursday we started unloading at 7:00 AM. John Grace held the driver’s meeting at 7:30 AM in moderately light rain which was carried live on Fox 2 News. Mike also gave a great live interview (see link below). John and Mike drove Rick Lindner’s 1908 Ford Model S and Rick Drove “Clara” his favorite 1903 Ford Model A.

We were all on the road by 8:00 AM and the rain cleared by the time we reached the breakfast stop. We made four stops on Thursday: Detroit Hot Rod, Vanguard (Muscle Car Dealer), Steve Week's Motorcycle Collection and Jerry Lugten's Vintage Aircraft Collection. There were two cars that utilized the tour support. Most of us rolled into the host hotel in Okemos by 4:00 PM.

On Friday we were all on the road between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM. We made two main stops on Friday: Northstar Camp & Canton Education Park (High School). There were three cars that utilized the tour support at which time John Grace told me “you can’t break down now because we’re out of wagons!” Most of the cars got back into Dearborn by 3:00 PM and we had our traditional pizza party that evening.

The Old Car Festival started on Saturday. This year’s show highlight is factory-built pick-up trucks. The weather is cloudy and unseasonably cool with light rain moving thru the area.

Great write-up.
Mike's TV interview didn't show up using the version of Chrome I was using.
Firefox and Edge was OK.
Paul James, thanks for the contribution.
