Rob, it appears that the HCFI Library has back issues of Motor Age magazine. Online access to their website is spotty, though. Most of the time I try to log in the site just sits there with a message "waiting for reply from HFCI.com". I will try to log in a few times each day, if I manage to get in I will try to find and download the June 27 1907 issue.

If you are a member of HCFI and don't mind making a phone call, you can call Mac at 619-464-0301, or email him at research@hcfi.org and request a copy of the document. :)

Rob, I was able to log in to the HCFI website, but as you may already know, that particular issue of Motor Age isn't on the site, sorry.

I see that someone on the MTFCA forum was able to find what you were looking for. :)

Cuda, thanks. I used to be a member of HCFI, but cancelled when several of their pubs wouldn't open for me. Yesterday, in desperation, I joined again. Same as you, after paying my money (and I stupidly signed up for the three year purchase) it won't open. I called, but no one is in until today. It also appears their search system took a step backward, as I didn't see an "advanced search" button. It looks (hope I'm wrong) like one has to open each publication and read it to find something, something that would be terribly time consuming when looking for a specific event. I see one may also search by vehicle make, but a "Ford" search would be voluminous regarding "hits."

Oh well. Thanks again,
Rob

Rob, it looks like the New York Public Library has that volume in print. You can request pages if you know which ones.

I'm quite surprised that Google Books seems to skip this volume. LOL they seem to have every other one.

I am going to see if the U of M library has it as well.

Good Luck!

Hi Rob. You may have already sourced these but I've just emailed you the 2 pages I think you want.

Jason and Andrew, thank you. These pages have some of the best pics I’ve seen of the 24 hour race held near Detroit in June, 1907. Thanks again,
Rob
